I had an annual check up appointment recently at Woolton Opticians and I was delighted with the welcome from staff members. Natalie examined my eyes in great depth, explaining as she did so very clearly the proceduresand what she was looking for. At the end of the examination and tests she explained it would be beneficial for me to be referred for cataract surgery and that she would put that referral in place. I now have a consultant appointment. I was very satisfied with my treatment from arrival to leaving the practice. Welcome to Woolton!

“Very friendly and made me very welcome”
My sight had become less short sighted so I needed new prescriptions for both distance vision and for reading. Natalie gave me a thorough examination and now my distance vision is excellent and my new reading glasses enable me to read without needing a bright light. I am really pleased with my new specs. Natalie also checked thoroughly for any eye defects and gave me a detailed account of the condition of my cataracts. During my time at the practice the front of house team of Jenny and Sandy were very friendly and made me very welcome. The whole experience was really worthwhile.

About us
Owners Natalie and Tom live locally and care deeply about their community.
As Co-Director and resident Optometrist, Natalie has years of experience in practices across Liverpool and is currently working towards the independent prescribing qualification for eye-related medication. To share her passion and encourage more young women to consider a career in Optometry, she has spoken at a Women in Science Day for a nearby school. In her spare time, Natalie runs a Rainbows group at the local church where they also attend.
Co-Director Tom is a specialist in Keratoconus, low vision and contact lenses, predominantly working at St Paul’s Eye Unit at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. He is also working towards completing the independent prescribing course. At weekends Tom loves spending time looking after their young daughter and going to the match.
